Sleeman & Hawken is very pleased to confirm its continued relationship with Lister Petter.

We were first appointed by Lister Petter as a ‘bulk stockist’ in 1970. Our business with them increased in those early years, mainly through servicing the local merchant and fishing vessels in Teignmouth port.

As Lister Petter’s product portfolio grew, so did our business, moving into power generation and industrial products, as well as marine. As technologies such as telex and fax (!) were introduced, we became one of the first distributors to start exporting Lister Petter products, and gradually over the decades we became known as Lister Petter specialists worldwide, with particular knowledge and focus on spare parts. We were awarded Lister Petter Parts Distributor of the Year in 1990 (pictured).

In 2015, we were given the sole responsibility for Lister Petter genuine spare parts fulfilment worldwide, which led to us acquiring Lister Petter in its entirety in 2017, taking on the engine production in Gloucester. In 2022, we sold Lister Petter to new custodians, whilst continuing to support the ‘heritage models’ TR, LPW and previous models as we did before.

Now in 2025, we have renewed our relationship with Lister Petter to include the promotion and distribution of their exciting line of new products. The story continues, 55 years after it began!
